The Tahlee property has been the base of our ministry since 1949. However, the oldest buildings on site date back to the times when Mr Robert Dawson established the headquarters of the Australian Agricultural Company (AAC) at Tahlee. Tahlee House was built in 1826 and is the oldest heritage-listed building on Port Stephens. We warmly invite you to join us for an unforgettable day exploring Tahlee’s history from back then until today.
Let us welcome you at unspoilt Tahlee, with its heritage listed buildings, elaborate gardens and pristine waterfront. Soak up the grandeur of this historic site while you treat yourself to a sumptuous morning tea. After a guided Tahlee House tour and visits to further historic treasures of Tahlee, enjoy a freshly-cooked lunch served by friendly volunteers in period attire.
Our tours normally begin with morning tea and conclude after lunch. However, alternative arrangements can be made. For something different, you might like to consider a Christmas tour (from mid November) including decorations, carols, delicious baked dinner, plum pudding and custard.
