Located less than one hour north of Newcastle, Tahlee Bible College offers a range of courses and study options.

Staff and students come from all around Australia and overseas and belong to churches of varying denominations.

WE OFFER COURSES IN:

TESOL STUDIES

(Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages)

The short Course in TESOL Studies is aimed at enabling participants to teach English to people from non-English speaking backgrounds within Australia and overseas.
It encompasses classes in theory and practical experience.
Designed for lay and professional Christian workers, it provides training in an area that can lead to unique opportunities for friendship, evangelism and discipling.

Accreditation of this course ceased at the end of 2007.
A new course is being developed to be offered from 2009.

CERTIFICATE IV IN
CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

in 2009

1 year full time, or part-time equivalent.
VETAB accredited through the ACOM Training Network.
Austudy available.
Individual subjects can be taken in 2 - 3 week blocks in residence.
Subjects can be taught as short intensives at your church.

Get a basic understanding of the Bible and how it applies to your personal life and relationships, service in your local church and witness in the world.

ESL COURSES
(English as a Second Language)

ACCREDITED COURSE

From July 2008, Tahlee Bible College will offer:
Certificate III in English Proficiency
Certificate IV in English Proficiency
(Accredited under the Training & Skills Development Act, 2003
- National Code 40494SA)

Overseas students will need to apply for a Student Visa to enrol in these courses.

SHORT ENGLISH COURSES

A ten-week non-accredited course for adults to learn English.

Students on a Tourist Visa, or Holiday Work Visa are eligible to enrol in this course.

HOLIDAY ENGLISH CAMPS

Non-accredited camps run for three or four weeks and include instruction and practice in:

Social conversation
Speaking, listening, reading, writing
Australian culture

Teach individual topics/subjects (primarily of a biblical and ministry nature) of interest to your church.

Design an ongoing programme to help your people develop ministry skills and their understanding of the Bible.
Assist in your church’s existing Bible teaching and ministry training programme.
Travel - Distance is not a problem! We are prepared to come to you, whether your location is rural, regional or urban.
